Our Passion, Our Promise
At Blue Hills OLR (One Loft Race), our passion for pigeon racing is at the heart of everything we do. We are dedicated to providing a premier racing experience, built on the core principle of maintaining perfect health and condition for every bird entrusted to our care. We truly believe in nurturing these “brave birds” and never taking them for granted. Our unwavering commitment ensures that every decision made is in the best interests of the birds, fostering a foundation of trust and respect with fanciers.
The Blue Hills Experience: Nurturing Champions
Our state-of-the-art loft is meticulously prepared to welcome its inaugural intake of up to 400 babies between August 1st and December 31st, 2025.
This limited intake ensures individualized attention and care for every bird. Upon arrival, these promising young pigeons will undergo a strict initial quarantine period, followed by essential vaccinations, and careful homing.
Our comprehensive program emphasizes progressive training tosses to build strength, endurance, and navigation skills, all designed to ensure optimal performance and minimize losses during the highly anticipated 2026 race season. We invest in every stage of their development, transforming them into true champions.
The Challenge & The Triumph
The Blue Hills OLR program culminates in a series of rigorous competitions designed to test the true grit and athleticism of our birds. This includes six challenging Hotspot races that progressively increase in distance, honing their instincts and stamina.
The ultimate test is the prestigious 815km Final Race from 3 Sisters, where champions emerge to claim a substantial R50,000 first-place prize. Beyond individual race victories, we also celebrate consistent excellence through our Ace Pigeon competition, offering significant rewards for the most outstanding performers across the entire series.
It’s here, amidst the thrill of competition, that legends are made.
Building & Community Together
Blue Hills OLR is more than just a race; it’s a vibrant community united by a shared love for pigeons. We foster strong connections through regular monthly bring-and-braai events from August to November 2025, and again throughout the 2026 race season.
These gatherings provide the perfect opportunity for fanciers to socialize, share insights, witness the birds’ progress, and experience the excitement of their return on race days.
We prioritize transparency and communication, ensuring all entered fanciers receive weekly WhatsApp progress updates about their birds’ health and training, along with timely race results. We believe in building strong relationships and celebrating every step of this incredible journey together.
